International-standard equipment and expert staff, ensures nickel ore quality meets market demands

PT Hengjaya Mineralindo has an internal laboratory with international standard equipment and is operated by competent experts to ensure the quality of nickel ore mined according to market demand.

Fuse bead sample preparation method

Fuse bead is a sample preparation method in which nickel ore samples are heated to high temperatures and melted with the help of flux (usually lithium borate), then formed into thin glass. The aim of this method is to produce a sample that is homogeneous and free of solid particles for easy analysis using the X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) method. This process is important because it ensures that nickel ore samples can be analyzed accurately with minimal interference from solid particles or inhomogeneity.

XRF Analysis of Nickel Ore

The analysis of nickel ore samples using XRF (X-ray Fluorescence) is an efficient and accurate method for determining the chemical composition of nickel ore. The process begins with sample preparation, where the nickel ore is crushed and homogenized to ensure consistent representation. The sample is then placed in an XRF apparatus, which uses X-rays to excite the atoms in the sample. It is then analyzed to identify and measure the concentration of elements in the sample, including nickel, iron, cobalt, and other elements.

Sample analysis process

The main advantages of the XRF method are its ability to provide fast and non-destructive results, as well as the ability to analyze multiple elements simultaneously. The results of this analysis are very important in PT. Hengjaya Mineralindo's business process to determine the quality of nickel ore and optimize the mining process.
