The Safety and Quality Assurance team is committed to ensuring health, safety, and environmental responsibility across all operations. Our mission is to promote a safe work environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

Policy

Our policies are aligned with Kepdirjen 185.K/37.04/DJB/2019 Element 1 and ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 Clause 5.2, namely top management's commitment to the implementation of OHS and the environment in accordance with the company's mission to conduct Safe mining operations and environmentally friendly, top management has issued a policy.

ISO Certificate

One proof of the implementation of the OHS program is the management system audit, in 2022 after an internal and external audit by the ISO certification authority, PT Hengjaya Mineralindo was eligible for the ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System certificate. One year later in 2023, PT Hengjaya Mineralindo received the ISO 45001: 2018 OHS Management System Certificate.

Internal Audit Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Pertambangan

In accordance with Kepdirjen 185.K/37.04/DJB/2019 on Technical Guidelines for the Implementation of Mining Safety, each mining company in Indonesia is required to conduct an internal audit of its Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) annually. This regulation ensures that companies regularly assess and improve their safety protocols to comply with national safety standards. At PT Hengjaya Mineralindo, internal audits are conducted meticulously every year, covering all safety-related procedures, risk assessments, and safety training programs. These audits ensure the company identifies potential hazards and takes corrective actions to maintain safe mining operations.

Once the audit is completed, PT Hengjaya Mineralindo compiles an audit report, which is then submitted to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. This report outlines the audit findings, areas for improvement, and the steps being taken to enhance safety practices. By adhering to this process, the company not only complies with the regulations but also demonstrates its strong commitment to safety, continually ensuring a secure and responsible working environment.

Emergency Response Team

ERT Team of PT Hengjaya Mineralindo in Action at PT IMIP's Fire Rescue Challenge in the Framework of National K3 Month 2025.

In order to commemorate National K3 Month 2025, PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP) held a Fire Rescue Challenge for the Central Sulawesi area, a competition that tests the skills and preparedness of emergency response teams in handling fire and rescue emergencies. The Emergency Response Team (ERT) of PT Hengjaya Mineralindo proudly participated in this activity, demonstrating their dedication and ability in facing the various challenges given.

First Aid / Medical First Responder Competition

In this challenge, teams are tested in providing first aid to victims of work accidents. Speed, accuracy, and coordination between team members are the main factors in the assessment. The ERT Team of PT Hengjaya Mineralindo demonstrated competent medical skills in handling victims with various emergency conditions.

SCBA Fitting and Explanation

Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) is an essential piece of equipment in firefighting and rescue operations in high-risk environments. In this challenge, teams are tested on how to quickly and correctly fit an SCBA, as well as provide a detailed explanation of its function and use. Skill in using an SCBA is crucial to ensuring safety when entering areas with contaminated air.

Race Obstacle / Firefighter Combat Challenge

This challenge tests the team's physical endurance, speed, and agility in facing various obstacles like real situations in the field. Starting from carrying fire hoses, rolling fire hoses, moving loads (Dump Truck Tires), hitting loads, Entering narrow tunnels, Evacuating victims with evacuation techniques from dangerous areas, all done with precision and mature strategy. The ERT PT Hengjaya Mineralindo team tried to give their best in this adrenaline-filled challenge.

1st HFRC ( HENGJAYA FIRE RESCUE CHALLENGE) 2025

Improving the Preparedness and Professionalism of the Emergency Response Team.

In its commitment to occupational safety, PT Hengjaya Mineralindo is again holding the Hengjaya Fire Rescue Challenge Internal in 2025, a competition and simulation event for the company's emergency response team. This activity aims to improve skills, response speed, and coordination in handling emergency situations, especially fires and rescues in mining areas.

This event was attended by the entire Emergency Response Team from contractors in the PT Hengjaya Mineralindo IUP area. This activity also received full support from PT Hengjaya Mineralindo Management, which was conveyed by the Head of Mining Engineering PT> Hengjaya Mineralindo at the opening of the activity.

Firefighter Comptency Test

This challenge aims to determine and evaluate basic competencies as members / personnel of the emergency response team in the IUP area of PT Hengjaya Mineralindo

First Aid Challenge

First Aid Challenge which aims to ensure that all members of the emergency response team have basic first aid which is mandatory for all emergency response team personnel.

Use SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Equipment)

A challenge that hones the skills of emergency response team members in inspecting SCBA equipment before use and how to operate SCBA during an emergency.

Firefighter Combat Challenge

The Firefighter Combat Challenge is a challenge that tests the limits of physical ability, strategy and teamwork in dealing with emergency conditions that require healthy physical and mental conditions.

Closing of the First HFRC (Hengjaya Fire Rescue Challenge)

Hengjaya Fire Rescue Challenge (HFRC) 2025 was officially closed with great enthusiasm and pride. During the competition, each team demonstrated their skills, togetherness, and professionalism in facing various challenges in real emergency conditions.

As a form of appreciation, PT Hengjaya Mineralindo gave awards and prizes to the winners who had given their best performance.
