Requirement :
- Bachelor Degree in Geology engineer, Mining engineer, and related field.
- 5 – 10 years of experience in the mining industry, 2 - 5 experience in Foreman level with specific experience in Grade Control, Nickel.
- Understand geological interpretation, grade control, and laterite nickel sampling standards
- Have leadership competence and good teamwork
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work with engineers, inspectors, and project managers
- Strong understanding of grading, excavation, and earthwork principles
- Proficient in using GPS machine control systems (Trimble, Topcon, etc.)
- Knowledge of surveying techniques and reading plans/drawings
- Understanding of soil types, compaction, and drainage
- Experience operating or supervising heavy machinery: dozers, graders, excavators, etc.
- Familiarity with 2D/3D site layout and modeling
- Knowledge of grade checking tools: laser levels, total stations, rover units
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Responsibilities :
- Ensuring the team members work safely and healthily
- Supervising the laterite nickel mining (selective mining, composite, bulk mining), separate ore by ore type and coordinate with the stockpile team and contractors regarding ore placement
- Ensuring the quality and quantity of ore produced and minimizing the occurrence of dilution and ore loss
- Ensuring the ore mining is COG compliant
- Ensure the location of ore dumping in the stockpile is in accordance with standards and suitable for dumping
- Coordinate grade control team members, sampling team members
- Creating an interpolation maps of the distribution of saprolite ore and limonite ore based on visuals, drill holes, block models and based on sampling results
- Making the daily reports of grade control activities and make job pending to the next shift
- Supervising ore hauling and coordinate with contractors related to ore hauling plans
- Following Safety Talk/P5M at the beginning of each shift
